We loved coming to Cafe Sapori - the food absolutely wowed us. We started with an olive loaf - I wasn't expecting much at night given I thought the bread would have been out all day. Nope, it was completely fresh and flavorful. We then had the brussels sprouts, the pistachio pesto pasta, and a verdura sandwich. That was...too much food for two people. The brussels sprouts were amazing - some of the best I have ever had (and I eat a lot of brussels sprouts). The pesto pasta was perfect with every bite - the pistachio was nutty but more pleasant than the typical pine nuts and made for a wonderful take on a classic. The homemade noodles were phenomenal. The sandwich tasted mild compared to those, but I took most of it home for lunch the next day, and it was then incredible. Lastly, we got gelato and cannoli for dessert. The gelato was seemingly naturally flavored and thus more mild. The cannoli, however, was rich and creamy with a nice, crunchy shell - I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is casual, service was friendly, and they really care about their food, and it shows. I just wish it were in St. Paul instead.

Have been to Sapori a few times for a coffee or an evening meal - always a good experience. Most recently I took my partner here for breakfast - something I wasn't aware they served. I have to take a moment to say that the pancakes they serve here are what I can only describe as a souffle-style. Utterly delightful, and worth the visit in itself. Paired with a cappuccino to start the day. All at a price which beats even your typical diner. I shall be back. Often.

My mom and I tried this place for lunch yesterday. We both absolutely loved everything we ordered. The fried artichokes are especially delicious. It is surprising affordable for the portions. I'd drive to visit this place again to try different dishes.

WE have enjoyed the food and service at the Cafe for several years now. A great addition to Winona. A cute place to dine in as well as take out. We have purchased sandwiches here for my husbands department for special occasions. I have brought some back to Eau Claire area for friends as well, who have enjoyed the wonderful Italian Pastries. A gem ! .

What a pleasant surprise! I had never heard of this place before being invited for dinner by friends. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food wonderful and the wine delicious. The biggest surprise was how reasonable the prices were. For such a delicious meal with wine, the bottom line was so affordable. Go to try their breads and coffee and indulge in dessert, but please explore their food. The FAgioli was so delicious and comforting coupled with two kinds of Foccacia for dipping. The bowl was generous and perfect for the rainy December evening. My companions had the Lasagna, the Carbonara and the Casio e Pepe. We all had plenty for sampling and even some to take home. Delicious! Dessert was Tiramisu - a portion just right for one or two - with prices to match! Service is excellent with counter ordering. At first I questioned this, but it gave us control of the timing and attention we wanted. This is a MUST DO restaurant in Winona. It was well worth the drive from Rochester.

I celebrated my birthday here with a dear friend yesterday. The half sandwich and soup we each had were delicious. The quiet, intimate atmosphere allowed us to visit freely. The previous night I had enjoyed learning about the cafe and adjacent restaurant. It was a delightful experience listening to the owner's story and sampling a variety of dishes.

I go for the ham and cheese croissant and they're plain croissant. They have good sandwiches and good coffee and drink choices. I'm not a huge fan of the pasta but they have plenty of other options to make it worthwhile. And they have a great breakfast menu!

Great little spot for our espresso and breakfast pastry. The latte was great and temped just right. I was pleased with the croissants that I ordered one plain the other chocolate. Airy and flavourful! The service was friendly and polite. I will return for the pasta one day soon!
